How do I send/recieve Collect Calls from a correctional facility?
We need the following information in order for you to send / receive calls
from correctional facilities:
- Your Information:
- Correctional Facility:
- Name
- Phone Number
- Street Address
- City, State, Zip Code
- Long Distance Provider of the Correctional Facility
What additional charges will there be on my phone service?
- Collect Calling
- Collect Calls vary from call carrier to carrier. Heartland
Communications does not carry an updated list of all the current
call prices.
- Long Distnace
- Heartland Commincations charges $0.049 per minute for long
distance calls. That is our charge without a long distance
package. If you take our Complete Phone package you can call
anywhere in the United (50) States and Canada, as many times
as you would like, for as long as you would like, FOR COMPLETELY
FREE.
- International Calling
- Charges vary based on country and area code within the country.

- E-911 Charges
- Information 411 - Heartland charges $1.60 per call. The information 411 calling rate is subject to change without notification.
How do I block / unblock 1-900 numbers on my service?
1-900 numbers come unblocked by default, if for any reason you want to
block these numbers, give us a call at 1-800-203-1853 and we will
block them at NO COST.
Is Rollover available for my phone service?
A rollover sequence is easy to setup, it’s a matter of setting
up call forwarding to you next phone line. The trick is you must
have more than one phone line for it to work. In most cases where
there are 2 separate phone lines a Rollover sequence can be set.

How do I setup my voice mail service?
To setup your voice mail dial *98 from one of your home phones and
you will be prompted for a pin number, by default this is 1111.
You will then be asked to change the pin number, at this time you
can change the pin to anything of your choosing.
What is the cost to begin phone service?
Initial phone service costs will vary due to numerous circumstances.
For a quote on what your initial phone charges will be, please contact
the Heartland Communications offices at 1-800-203-1853 option 4.
What if I have problems with my phone service?
Call 1-800-203-1853 option 1 then select your service type and one
of our Customer Service Representatives will be more than happy
to help you.
