Support Newsgroups

Setting up Newsgroups
  • Step 1 – Open Outlook Express
    • Click start and click on MAIL (if you have a icon on the desktop double click on the Outlook Express Icon)

 

  • Step 2 -  Click on TOOLS and go to ACCOUNTS
  • Step 3 – Click on the News Tab

 

  • Step 4 – Click ADD and NEWS
  • Step 5 – Type in your name

 

  • Step 6 – Type in your email address
  • Step 7 – Type in the news server address: news.hcis.net

 

  • Step 8 – Click Next and then FINISH
  • Step 9 – Click CLOSE on the INTERNET ACCOUNTS box

 

  • Step 10 - Click YES to downloading newsgroups
  • Step 11 – Download Newsgroups

 

  • Step 11 – Select the Newsgroups you want and click SUBSCRIBE
  • Step 12 – Select news.hcis.net on the FOLDERS menu to the left and view your newsgroups
